State-of-the-Art Fetal and Pediatric Heart Procedures: Things to Know to Help Guide Your Patients

The event features a special pediatric cardiology themed-themed evening including informative CME session and an advanced preview of the nation’s most technologically advanced Hybrid Operating Room/Cardiac Catheterization Suites.

Please arrive by 6 pm and register in the Tricia O’Brien Pavilion (formerly the Performance Area on the lower level).

An onsite tour of the state-of-the-art Angie Fowler Adolescent & Young Adult Cancer Institute facilty– both Angie’s Garden and the spacious Outpatient Center will be available. The tour will conclude in the newly opened Congenital Heart Collaborative Hybrid Operating Room/Cardiac Catheterization Suites where you will enjoy hors d’oeuvres while learning about the state-of-the-art capabilities of this new facility.

Participants will have opportunity to meet the new UH Pediatrician-in-Chief and Chair of Pediatrics, Marlene Miller, MD, MSc.

Dinner will be availalble in the newly-renovated Community Room and the CME Event will take place in the updated Rainbow Amphitheater.


Educational Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, the participant should be better able to:

  • Understand recent advancements in the management of congenital heart disease including in-utero cardiac procedures.
  • Understand the increasing options, including recently FDA approved devices and the utilization of 3D reconstruction angiography (3DRA), available for the evaluation and treatment of congenital and valvular heart disease.
