This state-of-the-art molecular diagnostics program integrates multiple molecular laboratories at the UH main campus, enabling integrative multiplatform testing and comprehensive result reporting. Capacities include extensive traditional and next-generation sequencing technologies, fluorescent and chromogenic in situ hybridization, and standard and methylation-based PCR assays.
- Cancer diagnostics: Molecular-based cancer diagnoses and identification of opportunities for targeted therapies customized to individual tumor types
- Diagnosis of cancer and noncancer constitutional predisposition syndromes
- HIV sequencing to identify therapy-resistant mutations
